Searching for a certain .22

Guys,

Didn't the same folks who made the Desert Eagle make a semi-auto .22 a few years back...and if so, are they still making it today. I remember it being very cool looking and very affordable. Thanks for any info...
 
I think the pistol you have in mind is the Mountain Eagle which was made in two versions: the original with an odd-looking "anatomical" grip and a later version with a 1911-style grip.

It was inexpensive and very lightweight due to the extensive use of polymer. For some reason it never sold well and was discontinued.
