SD CCW Permits?

I'm currently a MN resident, but I will shortly be moving to SD. I've read (somewhere) that SD is a "shall issue" state to it's residents. Do any of you TFL'ers out there know which agency I need to contact about a CCW once I become a SD resident? Also, what was the application process? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Although I'm in Idaho, I have a friend in S.D., who carries. He said that you should apply to your local county Sheriff's office.

That's the way we do it here, too.

EDIT: If I were you, I'd call the Sheriff's Dept., of the county in which you plan to reside, and ask them the correct procedure. J.B.
