Scratch on Security Six?

Hi all. I somehow managed to get a light scratch along the side of the trigger housing. I tried to wipe off with just spit and my shirt to no avail. I am assuming the finish is nickel? Remedies? The gun is otherwise in fantastic condition. Makes me sick! Thank you!

If your Security Six is stainless, you can hit it with steel wool or very fine emery paper (I'd go 400-600 grit).

Is emery cloth more effective than the steel wool? I have been working it pretty good with some 00 steel wool to no effect so far.

I'd try the finest Scotchbrite pad I could find, and once the scratch is gone finish it up with Flitz metal polish
