I stoped by my brother in laws house yesturday night and was playing pool, he suggested we go out hunting but I didn't have anything with me. Well to get to the point I borrowed one of his guns, yep bad idea.

Got back to the house and found a good size scratch across the reciever, its a 7400 rem. Not sure if /when I might have put it on there but would like to fix it somehow. Is there any easy way to make it look decent. Not trying to hide it from him just wanna fix it, not sure if i put it on there but wanna try to fix it anyways...
The scratch is pretty deep and goes through the blueing for sure... don't know if they make a nailpolish like bluing agent or anything?

Try some Oxpho-blue, it can be had from better gun shops or ordered at Brownells. It can do a fair job hiding imperfections in bluing but good chance that scratch is never going to disappear completely.

I've had good luck with Oxpho-Blue, as well, for toughing up scratches ona variety of different guns.

Yeah know it'll never be the same, but not sure if I did it. Can't remember anything that might have put a scratch on it. Walked in a half mile went up in my climber, and was only out there maybe 2 or 3 hours then came back...

thanks I'll look around see if I can get it localy, or order out
