Who makes the scopes used on the scout configuration rifles? Are any of them come with adjustable objectives? thx, wolfz

I now have 3 scout rifles ( I like the concept and have used it for a while now...). One is a mauser (yugo) one is the savage scout and the newest is the M1A scout.I have the Springfield armory 2x Scout scope on the mauser, the burris 2.75x on the savage and will be receiving in the mail (mon i'm told :D ) an AIMPOINT ML2 2x red dot sight. The burris has better optics and range of eye relief then the Springfield but the Springfield reticle is cool!

The Leupold is supposed to be a great scope but the Burris is cheaper AND has HEAVEY plex reticle whereas the Leupold is not.

TwoHawks

As already stated, a red dot aiming system should also be worth considering.

I'm also waiting for my Leupold 2.5X to arrive for my M1A souct.

I use the Leupold and have been very happy with it. It is an excellant piece of glass.

Twohawks, how do you like the Springfield scope?

Jaeger,

The Scout scope is pretty cool...the cross hairs which are really non-cross hairs are 4 tapered posts and a small (1moa?) dot in the center.Eye relief seems a bit like a pistol scope to me though...thats the only concern I'd have...make sure you can send it back or use elsewheres if it doesn't work.

I was thinking about one for my Guide Gun in 45-70. Does it seem rugged? Do you have any eye reliefe measurements?

Natchez Shooters Supply has refurbished and new Burris Scout scopes on sale in their latest flyer. I'm thinking of order me a couple for myself. I have a Guide gun too, and have th Ashely Outdoors Scout Scope mount and ghost ring sights on it already. Be a shame now not to scope it...

BTW, I don't work for Natchez, but have had excellent luck ordering from them!
