scout optics

Hey guys. I need your help. I am building a scout mauser so i can use the "clip function". Therefor i need a scout scope mounted in front of the ejection "port".

what i would like is a 1-6x20 I.E straight tube, with a eye relief around 10"+

does this exist?

I have searched across the web but haven't found exactly what i am looking for.
any help is appreciated! :-D

Try the leatherwood 2-7x. Not exactly 1-6x but pretty darn close.

i have looked at it but it doesn't fit my needs 100%. If there is no other alternative i guess it will have to do. do you have any experience with it?

one of the reasons for building this scout Mauser is so i can use it in close quarters at boar hunting. therefor i would like to have as small as possible minimum magnification and at the same time the versatility to engage at medium range (100 yards+)

You're searching under Long Eye Relief, (LER) and pistol scopes, right?

i have found this one but it says it has 24" eye relife and i am wondring if that is too long..

2-7x should suit your needs just fine, and will give you far more options to choose from, just my 2 cents.

Can I ask why the Leatherwood 2x7 doesnt work? I have one on my marlin and was about to put it on a mauser scout style. Is there not enough eye relief?
