Scored a really nice Security Six

Found this one at the LGS for $399. Not only did it check out okay, but it looked as if it had never been fired. Got it off layaway and took it to the range and it did just fine. The adjustable sights were right on the money.

Congratulations on a fine revolver! Pretty good price too.

I love my Security Six. Wish I had a bunch more.

Great looking gun lowercase. I have one in stainless and love it, except that the blued ones look so much better. They seem to be built like a tank. Enjoy.

Good find!

I got one three years ago made in 1979 that looks like yours, but with mine, the grips are beat up.

It has that bank vault feel to the lock up.

That is a fine example of a great revolver. I also am part of the Security Six culb with a 1976 Liberty SS 4" model, I went with an aftermarket set of grips but I also picked up a set of the bigger target grips that Ruger was selling off a few years ago just incase there needed. It also looks like you shoot it well with the results of that target. Congrats on a great find.

That looks like an early one to me, w/ the early backstrap. Had one just like it.
Traded it away for a Blackhawk and have regretted it ever since.

Congrats! That's a beauty! Decent price - I'd have snagged that too. That will be an excellent shooter and last you a lifetime! Enjoy and have fun! :)

Vey nice!

Oooooooohhhh I like that! And the search begins...

But I did find this in my favorite pawn. .38 special!!
