I think you'll find that most scopes now days will handle the recoil of the 300 WM. Of course, there are lemons in all makes too. But I don't think, on average, that you need to worry about recoil affects on optics until you get into the bruiser cartridges like the 460 Wby, etc.
I should caution you though, you get what you pay for when it comes to optics.
I've been a fan for many years of Nikon scopes. But stay away from the Buckmasters series. I've heard nothing but problems with them. I currently have a Leupold Vari-X III in 3.5-10X40mm on my Browning 300WM. I love it. It's my first Leupold and I've always wanted one. I originally bought a Leupold Vari-X II in 3-9X40mm for it but hated the fact that it's adjustments weren't positive, metal on metal, clicks in 1/4 inch increments (it had no clicks that you could feel and was a 1/2 inch adjustment system). So it went on my new Rugar 10/22 Target.
If it was me, it would be either the Nikon Monarch UCC or their Titanium model, or a Leupold Vari-X III. All of them will have the power ranges you decide you need, and the features to go with them.
Good luck!
Edit: Of course, alot also depends on what you're going to use it for. You didn't mention that. The scopes I listed would be for general hunting of big game. For long range target shooting, there are others just as suitable, maybe even better.
