Scope value opinions needed.

I am considering bidding on a rifle that comes with a scope I have no use for ( I'm just not a scope guy & haven't used one to hunt for 20 + years ) . In order for me to know if his starting price is workable I need to know a ballpark figure of what I should be able to get when I sell the scope, rings & base from it.
It is a Weaver K 2.5 power C3 . He describes the optics in good, clear cond. and the tube in good cond. with no dents but having some scratches. One of the turret bases has a piece broke off on one side but are said to be solid . He has never shot it but presumes the internals to be sound . Pics are attached . Value opinions for the scope, rings & base ?

$40.00 tops, for me !!

You are going to get a wide range of opinions but what I'm look at, Is $30 to $40.00, tops. Won't go into a lengthy explanation. If you are on GB then the pricing is always inflated. Good luck and let us know how you make out .. .

Agreed about no great value. Generally, those scopes are plenty rugged, so there are good odds of its being usable.

An old Weaver like that is worth nothing to me nor would I let it effect if I want the gun or not.

I have 8 extra scopes on the cabinet in the basement. Some of them are those cheap old Weavers.

The heck with them. If I sell a gun I might put one of them on it to get rid of it.
