Scope rings for a Remy 7600

I am getting rid of the see-thru rings and the simmons scope for a Nikon Buckmaster and a more solid set of rings. Looking for suggestions on rings. What have you used with success?

Weavers, or really anything that works in a Weaver style base, are as good as any and the least expensive, maybe not the best looking. DNZ makes good stuff too. Unless you have issues with the barrel and scope mounting holes not being correctly aligned I'd avoid anything with dovetails. They were designed to correct those type problems and if needed are the only option. Otherwise there are much better options.

Not to hijack, but i gotta hear this one...jmr40, please explain

Do tell how the leupold dove tail setups have anything to do with incorrect alignment. Since I own more than a few classic and modern rifles with dovetail mounts and rings, please educate me and everyone else perhaps.

if the reciever is not DT straight from the factory, the lep-red-bur bases have a windage adjustment that may help aline the scope with the barrel. i have seen a few rifles with that problem. eastbank.

if the reciever is not DT straight from the factory, the lep-red-bur bases have a windage adjustment that may help aline the scope with the barrel. i have seen a few rifles with that problem. maybe not enough for a long range rifle, but for normal deer ranges it would be fine. i bought a rifle that had that problem and you could see it with two piece weaver bases on it,and with a scope on it it was real easy to see the misalingment between the barrel and reciever and a leupold one piece base with windage fixed it by bringing the scope into the proper alinement. eastbank.
