I just acquired a Vari-x IIc 4-12 AO but I am having trouble with deciding scope ring height and what kind to get. It appears to be a 40 or 42 MM bell. It is going on a Remington 1917 that has been sporterized with weaver style bases so I would like to continue to use these. Any input would be well accepted.
