Scope question

I recently bought a Magnum Research lone eagle in .308. Was wondering if anyone had good luck with certain scopes surviving the recoil. I’ve been looking at Burris, Bushnell, Vortex, and Leupold. I am going for a fixed magnification because I just don’t need the variable where I’m going to be hunting with it. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

They seem like a nice scope fore sure, I just don’t know how they would handle the recoil, especially with it being a ass end heavy gun it really likes the throw the barrel in the air. Kind of the same reason I’m finding it hard to go with vortex as well even though I have one of their pieces of glass on a .222 rem 700 bdl and love it.

In 40 years I have never had a Leupold fail me and one of them is that old. Don't see how you could go wrong.

Where will you be hunting? At what ranges? In what kind of terrain? What is your maximum range shot that you feel confident taking?

I can name scopes all day but it really has to apply to your particulars.

I have a 3 x 9 - 40 Zeiss on my 30 06 x7 years. It has held up perfectly. Cost approx $400 7 years ago. I have Leupold scopes on 3 other firearms -- they are quality as well. You can't go wrong with Zeiss or Leupold glass imo.
