Scope: Mounts and Bases

I plan on purchasing a Rem. M700. I also plan on slappin' a Weaver Grand Slam scope on it. I consider myself to know a fair amount of info on firearms and scopes, but I know virtually nothing about Scope bases and mounts. :confused: What would be some good ones for the aforementioned setup? Also any off topic enlightment on bases and mounts would be appreciated, but the main question first please.

You'll find a wealth of info.

The most popular rings/bases on this board are usually the Leupolds, Burris Z rings, Millet, Weaver-types, and some of the "Tactical" crowd mention the Badger Ordnance, Autauga bases, and the Iron Brigade Aromory set-up.

Have I missed anything?
