Scope for T/C Contender 223 Super 14

OK, this is an out take from another thread I posted about what to buy next. I found a 223 Super 14 barrel for my G2 Contender, and am wondering about scope magnification. I was thinking the T/C 2 1/2-7 X 32 blued scope would be a good fit for this blued barrel. Is the 7X enough to get everything out of the 223 in this pistol?

I just happen to have a nice Burris 2-7x for sale if you're interested.... PM me. It's enough for any reasonable distance from a handgun, unless you're shooting golf balls.

I have T/C's 2.5 X 7 on my 30 Herrett and it works just fine. I find that set on seven power that it's difficult, because of limited field of view, to locate a soft drink can at 100 yards. Once the target is located I can pin point the bullet's strike. However, I don't shoot my T/C with the socpe set over five X often. Most often I am shooting with the scope set at 3X or 4X

Thought the question was [is that enough to get everything out of the 223]And if your able to shoot a handgun with a high power scope then you can get more out of a higher power one.
