Scope for Remington 700 series?

Im purchasing a Remington SPS 700 series this week and i could use some help picking out a decent scope for it. Im on a budget so let me know what you would recommend. I only use my rifles for target shooting.
 
You didn't say what caliber 700 or what your intended use would be. This will affect recommendations.

I have two 700 ADL's in .30-06 and .243 win. For both I went with Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40's. (About 150.00). Great glass for a good price.
 
If you were looking for a Hunting scope I'd suggest a 3-9x40 Nikon Team Primos. For only $220 at SWFA it's the best scope bargain out there.

But if you are looking to do some target shooting then do yourself a huge favor and look at the Weaver V16 or even a V24. Good reliable varmint scopes with very good quality optics and coating and the setting are repeatable. That repeatability is very important for a target scope.
