I recently purchased a used Burris Sig. 6x24 scope. Was warned ahead of sale it showed ring marks. To me this meant minus a little surface paint. The scoped showed up with slight indent's in it. Assuming the rings were not lapped before original mount was preformed or mounted on a bind.
I have a new 1 piece Dead Nutz base and ring's on the gun which has already been lapped. I did not take the time to take off the fixed 12 off as I am doing a little yote hunting with the gun. Would it be worth my time to give it a try?
I am wanting to perform 4,5 an even 600 yd. shots with this outfit. I am pretty sure I can make it go 1 or 200 yd. Playing with the paper punch distance will be down the road another month or two. The fella has already said he would give me a refund, which is cool. I did get a really good deal on it. The only thing the warranty doesn't cover is a bent tube.
I have a couple hours to kill before I can call BURRIS about tube replacement cost, so I figured I would ask for a little input on this subject
