I've had great luck with older Butler Creek covers, but the new sets don't hold up. I break one about every 2-3 hunting trips. I like the design, but they are cheaply made and don't hold up. If it's a Leupold scope the Alumina covers are the way to go imo. If it's not, the Butler Creeks and being very gentle are really the only other real option for this style cover. Since it's a Tasco this may be your only option if you want this style.
Now for the slip on covers. I like these as well, but not as much as the flip up style. It's all a personal preference though. I have a ScopeShield Alaska cover and I would highly recommend it as far as a slip on. Since you said you want to use the covers with several scopes this may be the way to go for you since the Butler Creeks aren't likely to fit more than one scope.
