Scope Bases & Rings - 1 piece or 2

This is my first post here on The Firing Line, hopefully it is in the right place.
I have a Weatherby Vanguard. The scope (Bushnell) that came on it needed to be removed. It had vertically split rings mounted to Weaver type rails. The vertical split rings don't seem to be the way to go & the weaver rails are slightly misaligned. I can get some mounts from Weatherby for this model which appear base & ring in 1 piece as stated.

This will great as long as it lines up. If it doesn't then it'll probably be harder to rectify

Anyone have any suggestions? Trying to get a setup that can be counted on. I'm going to go through proper setup and installation on anything I do.
Thanks,

While I don't know about the base/ring combo shown, I do know that Leupold or Refield bases and rings are the industry standard for a reason. They are well made, rigid, reliable, idiot-resistant and rugged. They can be adjusted to compensate for any misalignment in base holes (although a factory rifle should not have that problem!!). And they look better than the vertically split rings (ugh!!).

My vote is for 1-piece Redfield or Leupold base with Redfield/Leupold rings. Hard to beat. Been doing this for 20+ years and still haven't found anything better (cost/benefit at least).

I agree with Scorch that Leupold & Redfield do make very good bases and rings, but since I started using Burris bases and Signature rings, I won't go back. The Signature rings have a poly insert that fits tight on the scope without scratching it and it also centers the scope to the barrel. If the base is misaligned, you can correct for it by changing inserts until the scope lines up with the barrel.
