What's a good mount to buy for a 7400, one piece, two piece? When I bought it some see-through mounts where on it, but I didn't want to use them. My eyes aren't so good anymore so I'm going to mount a scope, no idea of what scope either. Has for the scope I'll need one that's good for close range in low light. Thanks

Depending on what range you expect to be shooting, a scope in 2.5X-8X or 3X-9X or just a straight 4X is a good scope for most applications. Buy a good mount, but that does not necessarily mean expensive. Weaver bases and rings work fine, as do Leupold bases and rings. I would avoid any of the "see-through" mounts, as they are too high and will make it impossible to get a good cheek weld and that will cause problems for you.

One piece Weaver style base. Weaver style rings to match your eyes/shooting style. Work well on my 742 for years. For bushy areas I use an old K2.5.
