scope adjustment ?

I have a Leupold scope and my rifle is shooting to the left of aim point, do I adjust the scope turret adjustment to the left or the right ? I am a little confused about this adjustment. In other words if you want the point of impact to move to the left which way do you turn the adjustment, to the left or to the right ?

Think of it like this:

The adjustment moves the bullet.

If you dial "left", it will move the bullet's impact left. So, since yours is hitting left of the target, you will want to dial "right".

Thank you for the help, I appreciate it.
I just sent the scope back to Leupold for warrante work. The adjustment would go left fr enough. The cross hair was kind of like frozen and would not move so I taped the turret with a small wooden handle screw driver the cross hair freed up and would move and I got the scope zeroed. Then the next few shots were off again and the cross hair went back to not moving. I called Leupold and they said to send it in for repair or replacement.
I just wanted to make sure I was turning the adjustment the right way.
