Scimitar Oryx Hunt

I just got back from my Scimitar Oryx hunt in Rocksprings, Texas.
I shot this bull tuesday morning at about 100 yards with my
35 Whelen. 225 grain Partition at 2700 MV. You can see the exit
wound in this pic. Knocked him down at the hit, he got up and went
about 3-4 steps and piled up. Amazing creatures. And very tasty !

Sweet, been wanting to do this hunt myself. Would you care to share info on where how and with who you use along with some of the details.

I hunted with Bardy Helwig who guides out of Rocksprings, TX
which is 125 miles NW of San Antonio.
The hunt was $2100 trophy fee plus daily fee of $150.

I had a great time, as usual, with Bardy. I've hunted with
him twice before. Bardy can also put you on to some great
African hunting for a lot less that you might think.

At the lease I hunt there's a $2000 BOVINE trophy fee, so don't shoot the cows.

Beautiful Oryx. Please share the post taxidermist work once you get it back.
