Just curious to know if anyone here has any familiarity and/or information concerning Schuetzen rifles?

Thanks. :D

My father has an old collector Schuetzen. Beautiful gun, geat wood with the tang site and whole 9 yards. REAL heavy and long.

Don't know much more about it. Can't even remember the caliber or maker, think it begins with a W.

The Shcutzen rifles are normally from the just after German War years when they were not allowed certain firearms. The schutzen rifle were redesigned from large caliber rifles to small calibers that could be shot indoors. Hence the name Zimmer (room or indoor) Schutzer (shooter).

Most of the original calibers were 8.15X46R and reduced with a sleeved barrel reducing the size of the barrell for the smaller caliber.
