When I purchased my first handgun, a KelTec PF9, I did a lot of research and asked alot of questions. Totally happy with it as my carry firearm. With the SCCY I spent all of five minutes holding it before deciding to pick it up at its $299 price. Needless to say I was surprised when I saw it came with 2 mags each with the finger guards and a pretty decent trigger lock. I still don't fully believe the warranty of no questions asked replacement if your firearm if it gets stolen. The meaty grip felt better than the KelTec and after only the first 50 rounds idecided to relegate the KelTec to my holster and soley use the SCCY for the range. I like that both have the same take down for cleaning.
So far I've only put about 500 rounds through, a mix of aluminum nylon jacket/brass fmj/and hollow point. No failure to feed no misfires or issues with the slide not locking on the last round. The only issue I found was a broken plastic retaining washer for the slide spring. It looks like it is more of a bushing between the spring and slide. I removed it and took it to the range for 250 more rounds. It operated as normal with no issue.
All in all I really don't have a negative to say about it. As an impulse buy I think I lucked out. Are there any other similar firearms for a good price?
