SCCY cpx-2 impulse buy

When I purchased my first handgun, a KelTec PF9, I did a lot of research and asked alot of questions. Totally happy with it as my carry firearm. With the SCCY I spent all of five minutes holding it before deciding to pick it up at its $299 price. Needless to say I was surprised when I saw it came with 2 mags each with the finger guards and a pretty decent trigger lock. I still don't fully believe the warranty of no questions asked replacement if your firearm if it gets stolen. The meaty grip felt better than the KelTec and after only the first 50 rounds idecided to relegate the KelTec to my holster and soley use the SCCY for the range. I like that both have the same take down for cleaning.
So far I've only put about 500 rounds through, a mix of aluminum nylon jacket/brass fmj/and hollow point. No failure to feed no misfires or issues with the slide not locking on the last round. The only issue I found was a broken plastic retaining washer for the slide spring. It looks like it is more of a bushing between the spring and slide. I removed it and took it to the range for 250 more rounds. It operated as normal with no issue.
All in all I really don't have a negative to say about it. As an impulse buy I think I lucked out. Are there any other similar firearms for a good price?

My CPX-2 has been going strong as well.

As for other firearms at a good price---Caniks or TriStar (the ones made by Canik). If they performed the same and had a Springfield/Glock/S&W logo on them they'd cost 2x what they do now.

Bad guys screwing things up, again ....

Not any more as they are removing the lost or stolen part. Seem that the bad guys have screwed that up for honest folks. Just too many repeats. ....

It's still a good choice !!

I'll look into a Canik, I see there are some other posts about them.
Entirely your call but SCCY still has a lot going for it. From what I have read, they were not happy about the situation but they sure don't need a black-eye in this matter. .... ;)

My SCCY 2 was a hot item that everyone fired when i would go shooting, the pistol never skipped a beat but alas my neighbor commandeered it for a concealed carry pistol. I had need of a wider slide stop and a call to customer service had one in the mail at no charge the same day.

Glad to see another good review on this one. I've been interested in, of all things, a Kel Tec PF9 as a summer carry but I'm not finding as many of them now.
When I came across a SCCY CPX-2 a few weeks ago, it appealed to me as well. I'm still debating but will probably buy the next one I see if I like the color scheme.

I bought one a couple weeks ago, no complaints, goes bang every trigger pull and, is very accurate. Price is right too.
