This is hearsay at the moment, but I was in good ole WalMart yesterday, and was asking the clerk about price / availability of certain ammo. He mentioned certain ammo and reload supplies that they were still having a very hard time getting from the manufacturers, such as .380.
He proposed a theory that some ammo manufacturers are holding back production, waiting for new federal regulations, such as serial numbers from production runs on the ammo itself, and that the companies aren't producing alot right now because they don't want to get stuck with pre-regulated inventory.
Does anyone have any concrete info on this? Is it possible? Has it been proposed? I don't doubt it completely, given the current state of the union.
I've been having an urge to stock up on ammo, and I'm sure many others do too, hence the shortage.
I want to help. What can we do to help preserve our rights. Does joining the NRA help? Any other suggestions?
Thx,
Josh P
