Freeport Texas doesnt often make the news, usually only if a hurricane is coming, but today we are getting plenty of coverage, its gotta be big to get the houston tv crews down here. two freeport officers are under investigation, it seems that guns and other property siezed by the p.d. had been finding its way into a local pawn shops. captain Richard Miller, a 19 year veteran of the force has turned in his resignation.

this was discovered by our new police chief Jeff Pynes who notified the F.B.I

the freeport p.d. has a history of crooked behaviour, a former chief resigned when he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. kudos to Mr. Pynes, im glad to see we have someone in charge whos going to run a tight ship.

i went to school with Miller, he always thought he was a hotshot somebody, i never had any problems with him personally, however i have heard in the past that he was a weasel, looks like i heard right. an innocent man isnt going to give up his career without a fight.

if the investigation finds these crimes to have taken place, i hope they throw the book at the both of them.

Well, good on the new chief for reporting wrongdoing and conducting himself and his department in such a way as to deserve the respect of the people.

I hope that any criminally guilty parties are incarcerated, bankrupted, fired, and stripped of all present future law enforcement certification.
