SC CCW Permit

Does a person have to be a resident of SC to obtain a conceal carry permit. I live in Georgia and may start working in SC. I have a GA ccw but they do not reciprocate with SC. I am aware that SC has training and other more rigid requirements for ccw but if I am going to work there it might be worth it assuming I don't have to be a resident.

You have to be a resident or own property there to qualify. They are reciprocal with some states, but only with resident permits from those states.
