The fee is $20, regardless of the number of weapons to be registered under the SB23 law.

The question is whether your weapon(s) fall under the SB23 prohibitions or the newly constricted prohibitions of the 1989 Roberti-Roos Assault Weapons Act. All clones of weapons banned under Roberti-Roos must now be registered under that law and I believe that is free, so to speak.

Some folks I've talked with are going to send all or parts of their collection out of state in anticipation of a freedom move. Others are simply going to ignore it like they ignored the 1989 law. Still other will register the rifle(s) they think they'll shoot most and store the others in the safest manner they can.
