The S&W old model 17, without the underlug, & just 6 shots instead of 10 is still the best handgun ever made. Just don't think it will ever be beat!:p

Don't know about the best...

But I sure love mine! :)

YEP, NO BOUT ADOUBT IT. THERE AIN'T NO BETTER

22 REVOLVER THAN THE K22 OF EARLIER INCARNATION.

SAM,
You're right, one K22, one K32, and one K38 reside at my ranchita and know the security of a good home and regular vittles. I did hafta cheat a bit on the K32 though. I couldn't find one after 35 years of looking [ missed several by minutes over those years ] so I had Hamilton Bowen build one for me from a new M19, a new K22 cylinder rebored and rechambered, and a brand new in the white never been on a gun K32 barrel. It is one shootin' sonofabiscuit I'll tell you!! The late Deacon Deason made a set of slim SKEETER SKELTON stocks for it and I get excited just talkin' about it!!!!
I have another one of those cylinders I've been considering of converting to 32/20 and fit to the same sixgun by Hamilton.
That'd be cool, huh??!!

I have been thinking for awhile that I deserve one of these. I have an M48 with an 8 & 3/8" barrel that has an extra Long Rifle cylinder but I have been toying with the idea of selling it and buying a 6" M17.

Wow Terry....looks like your caps lock broke.:D

The way you made your K 32 shows perserverance, dedication and commendable stubborness. Glad you filled out the trlogy. Mere mortals would have given up on the 32.

Sam

So, TERRY, have any idea where ANOTHER M-16 barrel might be layin' around??? I discussed just this type project--but using a "full-lug" barrel from the .32 Mag Model 16 "re-issue"--with my revolversmith earlier this year...didn't even CONSIDER that any ORIGINAL M-16 barrels MIGHT still be floatin' around...hhmmmm....mikey357
