savage99 in 250 ack?

i have a nice 99 250-3000 thats lovley. but i also have a 250 ack reamer:D now should i do it:confused: in sweden these rifles are very rare and it can not be more than 5-6 rifles in the country. the 250 ack is a wounderfull cartridge in ordinary actions but will it feed correct in a savage 99? so the question is ackley or standard?:rolleyes:
 
250: :eek:I'm a fan of both the 99sav rifle and the 250sav cartridge, so I'd vote for leaving it as is. What you would gain in velocity wouldn't be worth what you would lose in value.
 
the value over here = nothing. but your right its a keeper and its perfect on roe deer and beavers (THE ANIMAL THAT IS):D and accurate allmost like a bolt action rifle whit the 2piece bases that is. i tryed the rail and then the accuracy died instantly:barf:
 
I haven't tried it, but modifying the rotary magazine to feed improved cartridges might be more trouble than it's worth. Leave it alone.
