Savage style barrels for Rem and other actions

I found a manufacturer that offers savage style barrels with the lock nut for Remington actions. Is there any downside to this on the Remington or other actions like a small ring mauser?
IMO if the threads are concentric and perpendicular to the bore on all 3 pieces then the end result should be as good as threading any of those barrels to a shoulder. Also make setting headspace by almost anyone very simple.

The only drawback is the way they look. I mean, who needs to put a nut on the barrel to hold it tight unless they didn't plan well? But no, there is nothing wrong with them. Except they look like hell. Some people actually claim accuracy gains by using the nut system, but other tests have shown that ain't necessarily so. My question would be "why would you want to?" Did I mention they look like leftover plumbing parts?

Scorch- I dont mind the look of the nut. It falls in that tacticool. I can actually make it look however I want. To me it has 2 advantages.
1- its extremely easy to manufacture and headspace.
2- I can change cartridges very easily.
I am also a machinist learning the gunsmithing side of the trade.
