Hello everyone

I was at Dicks sporting goods today and while waiting for the OH to try on boots I automatically wandered into the gun area like the gun zombie I am. They had something I hadn’t seen before; it was a Savage/Stevens P350 12ga with an 18.5” barrel and ghost ring set up for $299.00. I liked the bottom eject system (I have an Ithaca 37 Deer slayer) and am looking for an inexpensive barn gun. Has anyone ever owned or shot one of these and what was your opinion of it. I don’t wish to start the whole 870 vs., 500 battle, but if you have had good or bad luck with one please let me know

Thx

shouldve told them to adjust their prices on knock off guns...laughed, and walked away

youd be muuuuuuuuuuuch better served with a Mossberg Maverick.

I was a bit skeptical, till I tried one out.
The quality surprised me & I'm always suspicious of Chinese guns nowdays.
Machining is well done, finish ditto, functioned perfectly with several loads through a test session.
The fore-end lock release was a little stiff for the first 30 rounds or so, then wore right in.
Sights are good, recoil pad's passable. Usable sling swivel studs included.

I do not like the bottom eject on a defensive shotgun because you can't direct load the chamber through the ejection port, and reloading in a hurry for instant loaded-chamber readiness is slowed down.

Other than that, at any price from $200-$300, I could see buying one if I weren't insisting on a side-eject.
I ended up liking it much more than I'd expected to, would honestly prefer it to a Maverick.
