Savage Scout

Yup. I would take three of these and a lot of ammo any day before the Steyr Scout (though there are several other Steyrs that I might note make this choice about).

Would this be the model 110FM sierra lightweight? I did not see the "savage scout" referred to at their website.
Thanks,

I believe you are correct. The rifle is based on a short-action Savage with a 20 inch barrel and synthetic stock. It has hit the gun rags in the past 60 days. It has a reserve peep sight, front sight and an aftermarket mount (I don't recall which one). There is really not much to it. It will seem to make weight and perhaps an inch or two too long. I don't care about a bipod but I hope they put a swivel mount just forward of the receiver for a Ching Sling. It probably does not have control round feed but neither does the Steyr Scout.

When these come out, I will have one. Might be a bit redundant with my Rem. 7 in .308, But Savages in the past have been quality rigs, esp. for the money.
