Savage Parts

I have come across a savage 110 in .243 for $70. the stock is broke and it is missing a bolt. I have been planning on building a rifle starting with a Stevens rifle i had but this might be better option than scrapping something that's fine.

Question is, what is the best way to acquire a bolt. I see i can buy one from Midway for $94 but was hoping to get out a little less than that. Any help would be great

For a stock, hit both Gunbroker and Ebay. I've seen lots of short-action take-off stocks for sale for very little money.

Try Boyd's for a stock. I've got one of his stocks on my Stevens 200 in 270 Winchester and I get great comments on it all the time. Pricing is very reasonable.

BTW, nice find!!

Don't forget to call Savage Customer service. When you give them the serial number, they'll tell you the original configuration of the rifle and tell you what parts to need to make it complete. I called them with the information on a beater rifle that I was rehabbing and they were knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. They gave me a parts list and prices, and frankly I was impressed enough with their prices that I told them to box it up and ship it out. About four days later I had everything I needed to complete my project.

(413) 568-7001 for parts and service.

stock and bolt

I don't know about a bolt, but Savage 110 stocks, especially long actions (lots of 110/243 were long actions) are common place. I have one such, a synthetic, black in the den now gathering dust. I'd sell it cheap too. Lots of shops have an old birch 110 stock propped in a corner some where.
