Savage model 430 O/U

Hello , I have a few questions about a Savage model 430 O/U. The safety only works part time, can usally fire back trigger/ lower barrel with safety on. Also noticed that both triggers seem loose when not cocked. Seemed to me that there was side to side play in them. Are there parts avaiable? When where these guns made? Thank you for any help.
 
Savage 430 shotguns were made prior to WWII for about 4-5 years. If you can find parts, they will be scarce.
 
Thank you for the reply, could you tell me anything about the reciever.What was the finish, it looks as if it was copper plated or something?
 
Check with Harley Nolden. He seems to have more answers than encyclopedia Brittanica. He has his own section in these forums.
