savage mark II plastic stock

Hello all,

I was thinking of buying a Savage Mark II .22 rifle while Walmart has them on sale near me. Since is dosen't have holes drilled for swivels from the factory, I was wondering if this was because the plastic stock wouldn't hold up to the pressures of using a sling? Does anyone have any experience with plastic stocks and drilling holes for the swivels?

It likely does not have swivels because the labor and parts would have increased the cost to Savage for a gun they make very little on anyway. The stock will hod swivels just fine as long as they are installed correctly.
