savage m220 bolt action

I was looking at getting one of the new savage model 220 bolt action. Has anyone out there shot one or has one. I have a marlin 512 12ga and I was wondering if using a 20ga would be giving up anything. I guess knock down power. In the last 5 years I have'nt shot any deer past 75yds. I guess I'am just looking for an excuse to get another shotgun. Thanks

I have one, but have not shot it yet. It seems very well made. I have high expectations. I am goint to try some remington accutip slugs in it. I have read that they shoot yell in this gun.
