Savage Bolt Face

I'll keep this short. I have a 110 (pre-Accura trigger) in 7mm Rem Mag that I may want to rebarrel to 7-08 or 243. I know the bolt face will need to be changed. How difficult is this? While I'm no stranger to mechanical work or light gunsmithing, I've never tackled this job. BTW, the rifle is a LH bolt, if that matters.

The bolt dis-assembly is all that is required and that's pretty simple. The diagram below may help.

Part number 12 is what you need to change while number 10 is the bolt race baffle..
