Savage axis standard base

Bought a savage axis 270 win left handed did the midway lookup and said the base was to be 55711 for a round receiver. The front holes lined up but the rear hole was off and there are 2 mounting holes in gun and only one on the base. Which mount do I need to line up Christmas gift need ASAP help
 
When you say one whole was off, how?

A killed part may have gotten by QC, or something similar. That is providing that Midway's chart was correct. However, it should have both holes in it.
 
The front two holes fit, there are two holes in the rear but only one in the base the rear base hole didn't line up
 
From just taking a look on Optics Planet, I can see no difference in RH and LH rings or bases. Really, they only made a mirror image of the receiver and bolt, so the holes in both hands should be the same. Compare what you have to a set for RH, and look at the part number. Take a look at Optics Planet, also.
 
You bought the wrong base...
The 55711 base you listed at Midway is for the 110-116 LA receivers.

You bought an Axis, it's an entirely different receiver.
