I have an old Savage 67VR that has never been fired. I just took it out of the box, had it for years. When I try to load shells in the tube there seems to be nothing to hold them in, they just pop right back out. I have misplaced the owners manual, but I don't think there is any strange loading procedure with this gun. Do I have a part missing or what? The cartridge stop is in place, but with bolt closed the stop does not touch shell. When you cycle the bolt the stop drops down and the tip is in position behind where shell would be. What holds the shell in tube initially? I started to order a new cartridge stop, thinking this one might be bent, but I'm not even sure if this stop is what holds the shells in the tube initially. I decided to get some expert opinions first. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim
