Savage 116

Looking for a decent .243 recently and came across a good clean used savage 116, in stainless, with the barrel factory drilled muzzle brake and a pretty darned good high-end tasco scope sitting on top. Being mostly a pistol/shotgun guy, what's a good price for this gun and how reliable/accurate is the savage???

Oh yeah, the asking price was $450 plus tax, etc.

I have a Savage rifle myself and think they are very nice for the money. My brother has the same rifle you are describing but in .300 Win Mag.

With the muzzle break I think the price is fair, but a bit high, unless you know the guy very good, and you KNOW the rifle is in good shape.

If this is a private sale or from a store of somesort I think bringing the price down to around $400 is closer to it's true value. Especially with that Trashco scope on it.
