Savage 116 stainless .308

I found a Savage 116 stainless in a gunshop yesterday. The price on it is $289. My gun book lists a retail price of 561 for that particular model. Does anyone have any experience with this model of rifle? It looks really good and the bore literally looks new...

Buy it or I will.

My 30-06 116 consistantly shoots .5 inch moa. with handloaded 165 gr. sierra boat tails

I have a 116fsak (fluted bull barrel, muzzle brake, removable magazine)

but then, I was getting .75 moa out of my 20 year old savage 110b with 150 gr. remmington bronze points.

Stainless is tough to wear out if the bore looks clean it probably is. No matter WHAT the caliber savage make a good rifle. Its a bargain.
