Savage 110 30-06 bull barrel?

Some time back at a gun show I looked at a Savage 110 in 308. It had what looked like an extra heavy bull barrel with a muzzle break. The muzzle brake looked like something off a 105 or some kind of artillery piece. I remember the vendor said with the weight and that style break there was an 80% reduction in recoil. Has anyone seen what I am describing? And if so who makes it? I would like to see if I can find one for my 30-06.

Sir:
The Savage to have a real "bull bbl." would have to have been fitted without the barrel nut - which brings up alot of questions. As for the muzzle brake, delete it - it's un-necessary on a 308 or 30-06! Go to a lighter caliber if this degree of recoil bothers you or fit a Limbsaver pad.
A real "bull bbl." would need to be fit without the bbl. nut and still retain the recoil plate.

I'm ready to buy a 110fp in 223 or 308 and they both have bull barrels. I doubt they make a bull barrel for a 30-06; but who knows, stranger things have happened. DB
