Savage 11 Lady Hunter

I was thinking about picking one of these up in .308 for my 4'10" 98lb girlfriend. She absolutely loves hunting, kind of bloodthirsty actually haha, but my M1A is a little too big and heavy for her, length of pull and front end weight mostly. She just can't get comfortable with it without a rest or bipod. I know Savage puts out good stuff and I was wondering if any of you or your lady friends/wives/girlfriends had any experience or things to say about this particular model.

If I don't go with this one does anyone know of a good youth model in .308 (she can handle and shoot with a .30-06 pretty well so I don't want to go with a .243, I like to keep ammo logistics simple).

I just picked up the lady hunter in .308 for my fiancé. She is 502. Out of all the youth sized rifles she shoulder it was the one that fit her best. At this point we don't have it scoped so I can not tell you how it shoots. I can tell you it came floated though. I just need to scrounge up some funds for rings and bases so I can at least put a scope on to test out how it shoots.

The youth Vanguard was the second best fit. It just weighed more.

+1 for the Lady Hunter. My gf is 5'2" and fit is nice. The second up for her was a CZ, don't remember what model, since the Savage was a good fit.
