Savage 10T SR

I have one in 6.5 Creed with about 1500 rounds down the tube.

I like it a lot. I have shot mine out to 1200 yards Accuracy is superb.

I got mine for $499 on sale.

Works great with a suppressor.

Thinking about going with the .308 win simply because I already have everything I need to feed it, brass, dies, powder... read somewhere that the rifling isn't 5r. Some guy posted a tube video with his bore scope and found 6 lands and groves. it's on the internet so it must be true, right?

The 10T... Is that the one with the larger barrel thread diameter, and three stock/pillar mounting points?

Its a standard Savage receiver and barrel built to Cabella specification.

Also has a long action version ala 300 WM if you want to use a lot of powder.

5R rifling seems to have several variations, I assume its what they say it is one of them. Model of 1917 also had 5R in a left twist

You don't need a boroscope to count the groves. Going round and round you will get lost, thats not really what they are for.

I don't know if 5R is really any better than stock, maybe more attention to detail.

It will have the usual good accuracy per Savage short of a problem barrel.

Threaded end so you can add whatever you want down there.

Pretty decetn stock, good up to 308, I would get a better one for 300 WM.
