Its a standard Savage receiver and barrel built to Cabella specification.
Also has a long action version ala 300 WM if you want to use a lot of powder.
5R rifling seems to have several variations, I assume its what they say it is one of them. Model of 1917 also had 5R in a left twist
You don't need a boroscope to count the groves. Going round and round you will get lost, thats not really what they are for.
I don't know if 5R is really any better than stock, maybe more attention to detail.
It will have the usual good accuracy per Savage short of a problem barrel.
Threaded end so you can add whatever you want down there.
Pretty decetn stock, good up to 308, I would get a better one for 300 WM.
