I was running around yesterday looking at rifles and I handled a Sauer XT 100 in .308 Win. I kind of liked it a lot, it felt great in my hands (6.75 lbs), shouldered well, pointed easily, trigger was very crisp, and the bolt felt like it's rails were greased.
Price was pretty great as well it was a Sub $600 rifle out the door. Of course I'd be over by the time I added rings for optics, but not much depending on what rings and bases I used. I didn't buy the rifle because it was a .308, but it comes chambered for several other cartridges and most can find one they're interested in. I might have to buy one and see just how accurate they are in either the 6.5X55 or 6.5 CM.
