Had our annual required hunt club meeting today down in the woods at our club land on the river. It soon gave way to a handgun plinking and target shooting session. I greatly enjoyed introducing a friend's 21 year old son to revolvers. I'm 54 and been a handgun fanatic for years. He shot a .45 Redhawk, S&W Model 63 .22 cal, S&W Model 60 .357 (with .38's), Ruger Blackhawk .45, and a GP 100 .357 (w/.38's). Even tried some shotshell patterns. This young man is very proficient with rifles for deer hunting, but was obviously fascinated with his introduction to handguns, especially when he shot a tight group with the GP-100 and was comfortable with the Redhawk. He left there asking me to "let him know if I saw a good deal on a handgun". As a bonus, I told him I was planning to bring my beautiful 18 year old female cousin down there to teach her to shoot, and he could assist me. All in all, a fine day for all of us. The "antis" don't realize what they are missing.
