I listened to the Diane Reams show on NPR today. The guests were Melinda (the VA coordinator of SAS), John Lott and another fellow who was for us and I am an idiot for not remembering his name.
Anyway, the show was a joke. Melinda and Co. did great and expressed themselves rationally and logically. However, Diane and every caller was against them and all manner of silly a irrational arguments were made by callers who ranged from Grandmas to a father whose 16 year old was killed.
I waited for the whole hour on hold but was not allowed to speak.
It was so one sided and disgusting I was almost sick afterwards. But what did I expect.
Thumbs up to Melinda for doing a great job and not barfing right on Diane Reams - although I wish she did.

"As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression.
In both instances there is a twilight when everything remains
seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all
must be most aware of change in the air - however slight -
lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness."
