The Million Mom March is having a local protest in Chappaqua, New York.
In cooperation with the Second Amendment Sisters, we're having a counter protest!
Best of all, you can go to this march and still be home in time to celebrate Mother's Day.
BUT IT'S IMPERATIVE THAT YOU ATTEND THIS MARCH!
Here's why:
The Million Mom March is already receiving a lot of press. And the press is telling the public that these moms represent the views of most Americans. While the march in Washington D.C. is sure to receive the most press, the protest in Chappaqua will also receive a good deal of press because it's the new home of the Clintons.
Two weeks ago at the Westchester County trigger lock public hearings, the pro-gunners outnumbered the anti's by a 10 to 1 margin. But we had lots of press about this event along with mailings from the NRA, NYSRPA, and the WCFOA. And few pro-gunners know about this march in Chappaqua.
The point is, this event will surely have a significant amount of press. We also outnumber the anti's. But the Million Moms are organized, and we're not. We can't let people think that the view of these Million Moms represent what the American public wants.
So, again, it's imperative that you and everyone you know shows up at this protest.
Here are the details:
Sunday, May 14th
8:00am to 10:00am
Chappaqua Train Station
We might be marching from the train station to the Clinton's new home and back.
Since this is over at 10:00am, we'll still have time plenty of time to spend time with our families on Mother's Day.
Please bring pro-Second Amendment signs. Some suggestions are:
"Criminals can get handguns, why can't your sister?"
"NRA - Yes, MMM - No"
"Self-defense - Yes, MMM - No"
"Bill of Rights - Yes, MMM - No"
"Criminals won't register their guns."
"Trigger locks are a rapist's best friend."
"Criminals won't wait for me to unlock my trigger lock."
"What's next? Registration of religion?"
"What's next? Registration of free-speech?"
"Gun control disarms victims, not criminals."
"In Australia crime was low, when guns were locked up, crime did grow."
"Disarming victims won't lower crime."
"The right to carry a gun is the right to protect your family."
"No more gun control"
"Gun control kills"
