Sarah Brady has a gun?

I dunno. She famously bought a rifle for her kid a few years ago. There was some controversy over whether it was a "straw purchase" under the law, but from the information given, I don't think you could say so fairly.

I can't say it would be all that shocking after Don Perata, Diane Feinstein, Carl Rowan, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnel, but YMMV.

What brought the topic to mind?

Furthermore, it's a non-issue.

If one actually reads Senator Brady's positions on gun control, one sees that her ownership of a weapon and CCW permit isn't inconsistent with her beliefs.

What would it prove? Where does it go?

Her beliefs are public record, and they don't conflict with her owning a weapon.

And unless you post your address right next to hers, to me, and those like me, you appear to be taking a cowardly shot from the shadows.

No, actually it is inconsistent.

"The only reason for guns in civilian hands is for sporting purposes.

Both Sarah and her husband have repeatedly stated that self-defense is no reason to own a weapon...that's what the police are for. James has been consistent on this point, as Sarah has waffled. While she has said that owning a gun is okay for self-defense, she has also told women that trying to defend themselves by owning a gun will "only make things worse."
 
How would you propose to verify whether any "Sarah Brady" on the list is the right one without an address to check against?

If I made as large a ruckus trying to "regulate" freedom of speech as Sarah makes trying to castrate the RKBA, I'd expect people to use every means available to try to find out if I had a blog.
