SAR K2 recoil spring??

I have a SAR K2 and was trying to find a different recoil spring for it.
I was unable to find one. The one for my EAA Witness Elite Match is very similar just a little longer. I put the factory witness spring in the SAR just to see if it fit. It did but was somewhat harder to pull back. I would think too much. I know other people have these.
 
nothing wrong with the spring. I thought they was supposed to be changed every 2-3000 rounds. I have over 1000 on this pistol in the last 1 1/2 years. Also wouldn't mind to try a slightly stronger spring.
 
If you're using regular factory ammo you shouldn't need to replace your spring. A steady diet of +p or stout hand loads might call for a stiffer spring. If that's the case give Wolff Springs a call and see if they could recommend something that could work. Maybe a CZ 75 or 97 spring would be closer than the Witness Match that you tried. I'm sure Wolff has fielded a few calls on the SAR pistols.
 
How about clipping a few coils off a Witness spring until it's the length needed?
Not the one for your other gun, of course, but a purchased one.
